How to install gnuplot at your apple computer

If you want to install "a traditional" gnuplot and you do not care if it can be controlled by AppleScript or if it exports to QuickTime format, then I'd recommend you to install DarwinPort gnuplot port

If you do not have DarwinPorts installed
download and install them here -> Darwin ports (click on Download)

After you install Darwin port
just add /opt/local/bin (this is the place where DarwinPort in installed) to your PATH
and then run
>sudo port install gnuplot
the installation takes around 5-10 minutes (retrieval and compiling gnuplot and other packages it depends on)

I tried it and it works on my MacBookPro
